Now! Hampshire seeks to provide serious, firsthand reporting of the day's events in the Granite State. Therefore, while we promote the democratization of the media, Now! Hampshire is still a "managed democracy."  The Terms & Conditions set forth below, which shall apply to each person who submits a story for publication (a "Reporter"), are intended to establish the standards for reporting at Now! Hampshire, and the conditions upon which Now! Hampshire shall agree to publish any such story.

Upon submission of a story for publishing at Now! Hampshire a Reporter is deemed to agree to, and to be bound by, the following Terms & Conditions, and any Reporter who does not agree shall have their stories rejected.

1. Reporter warrants and represents that the story being submitted is truthful and accurate, to the best knowledge of Reporter, who shall have a continuing duty to investigate and to immediately correct any mistakes or factual errors.  Reporter shall verify and properly source all stories submitted to Now! Hampshire.  Upon request Reporter shall provide the name and contact information for any source to Now! Hampshire, and in such event, Now! Hampshire agrees to maintain the confidentiality of Reporter's source(s), unless directed to do otherwise by a court of competent jurisdiction.  Reporter agrees to indemnify and hold Now! Hampshire, its directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates harmless against any and all claims that may arise from or be in any way related to false, fraudulent, or improperly verified reporting by the Reporter.

2. Reporter shall not submit, nor will Now! Hampshire publish, personal ad hominem attacks against public figures or any another person. Now! Hampshire is a place for fresh, hard-hitting news - not a place to damage reputations. If Reporter obtains inflammatory information about a public figure, Reporter is obligated to reach out to such person for a response and to include their response in Reporter's story. 

3. By submitting a story for publishing to Now! Hampshire, Reporter acknowledges that Reporter is assigning to Now! Hampshire all of Reporter's copyright, intellectual property, and/or any other rights and interests in and to such story.  By assigning such interests, Reporter understands that only Now! Hampshire shall have the right to publish such story, and to enforce such rights against a third party.  The parties agree that publishing news stories at Now! Hampshire is a valuable service, and
Reporter expressly acknowledges that such publication is sufficient consideration for the assignment of the interests.

4. Reporter warrants and represents that the stories submitted for publication are the Reporter's own work, and that all quoted or copied material is properly sourced, cited, noted and subject to fair use. Reporter agrees to indemnify and hold Now! Hampshire its directors, officers, employees, agents and affiliates harmless against any and all claims that may arise from or be in any way related to claims of plagiarism, copyright or intellectual property right infringement, or any other claims resulting from Reporter's stories.  Now! Hampshire considers hyperlinking to an original run of a news story from another site an appropriate form of sourcing. Any submitted materials found to have been plagiarized, stolen, or improperly sourced shall be immediately removed from the site, and the Reporter of such materials may be subject to criminal and civil liabilities.

5. Reporter shall not post or otherwise publicly disclose trade secrets or other confidential material that may be a trade secret of any person or entity.  Unauthorized disclosure of protected materials may lead to civil and criminal liability for anyone making such disclosure.

6. Reporter understands, and expressly agrees that, if material posted on Now! Hampshire is revealed to be wrong or misleading, the editors are empowered to clarify, correct, and/or retract Reporter's story. If the editors determine, in their sole discretion, that the motivations behind posting misleading or incorrect information were malicious, Reporter will be held personally responsible.  Any Reporter found to post misleading or inaccurate information on a routine or habitual basis, as determined in the sole discretion of the editors, shall be permanently banned from submitting further material, and their account will be deleted.

7. Neither anything contained herein, nor the act of submitting a story for publication, nor the actual publication of a story, is intended to create a joint venture or partnership, and none shall be created thereby. Reporter and Now! Hampshire acknowledge and agree that all dealings between them are arms-length transactions.
