Frank Alix, a New Hampshire businessman who participated in President Barack Obama’s so-called ‘Jobs Summit’ last week—and offered a glowing review of the administration’s policies to state media—was a major donor to the 2008 campaign of Democrat U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen, NowHampshire.com has learned.

Alix appears not to have shared that information with the media.

“We have never dealt with a government so engaged with energy and the environment and so open to feedback from business and academic leaders,” Alix told Foster’s Daily Democrat after the summit.

“We all can be skeptical of government at times … but I came away quite impressed. There seems to be really strong engagement in areas that will help our country,” he continued.

But what Alix did not say is that he helped to finance former-Gov. Jeanne Shaheen’s 2008 successful campaign against then-U.S. Senate John Sununu with two contributions totaling $1,500.
