Shaheen Raising Money off Now! Hampshire Sununu Interview

The Senate campaign of former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen is looking to cash in on a Now! Hampshire interview with Sen. John Sununu in which Sununu criticized Shaheen as a flip-flopper.

Shaheen’s campaign dashed off an e-mail today addressed “Dear Supporter” in which she urged recipients to send cash because “This week John Sununu directly attacked me in an interview. … Sununu's false negative attacks are just the tip of the iceberg.”

The charges Sununu makes in the article are not “false.” Sen. Shaheen indeed supported the Bush tax cuts and the Iraq War.
