Now! Hampshire’s sources inside the State House tell us another Democratic state senator will soon announce his retirement. This falls on the heels of Cornish Democrat Sen. Peter Burling’s bombshell earlier this week that he is retiring.

Why the Democratic exodus from Concord after sweeping into power in 2006 by wiping out the GOP?

Our Democratic sources say: Paralysis.

“There is a feeling among some Democrats that we are not making any progress toward tax fairness and equity in school financing,” one Democratic official told us. “We’ve spent a lot of time criticizing Republican inaction, but have we really changed anything since taking over?”

According to our sources, the Democratic Senator in question will retire once the party has had a chance to unofficially designate a successor.

Why is it...

Why is it that every time I hear a Democrat talk about "fairness" and "equity", the first thing I do is protect my wallet.
