Saying he will, “fight to cut taxes, to help working families and small business and will always support our veterans and the troops that are keeping America safe,” former Republican Rep. Jeb Bradley today launched the first television ad of the first congressional district campaign.

In the ad Bradley aims directly at votes cast by Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, who defeated Bradley in 2006.

“Carol Shea-Porter has voted for higher taxes, bigger government, even voting against our troops in combat,” Bradley says in the ad. “That’s not the change we need.”

A recent UNH survey showed Bradley leading Shea-Porter in a hypothetical head-to-head match up. However, Bradley has a contested Republican primary against former state Health and Human Services Commissioner John Stephen.

The Shea-Porter campaign did not have an immediate comment.
