Stephen gets big bounce in post-primary poll

Republican gubernatorial candidate John Stephen appears to have received a significant post-primary bounce according to a new Rasmussen poll.

The poll of 500 likely New Hampshire voters shows Lynch with only a two-point lead over Stephen. Lynch earns 48% of the vote, while Stephen earns 46% of the vote. Last month Lynch had a 50% to 39% lead.

Stephen is seen as Lynch’s toughest opponent since he entered politics in 2004.

Lynch has been plagued by budget problems, the state is running a huge deficit, and his happy-go-lucky aura appears to be grating on people after six years in office.
