Paul Hodes’ terrible, awful, no good Tuesday

Democratic Rep. Paul Hodes was already having a bad day on Tuesday.

First, Fosters’ Daily Democrat poured cold water on his campaign finance bill. And then a Democrat polling firm released a new survey showing he’s (still) losing to GOP frontrunner Kelly Ayotte in the race to replace Sen. Judd Gregg.

But then Hodes sent out a snarky press release in which he accidentally admitted defeat altogether. In the release, in which Hodes implausibly blames Wall Street corruption on Kelly Ayotte [?], Hodes refers to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who is, of course, the Senate Minority Leader.

But perhaps only for a few more months.
