Shock Poll: Newcomer Binnie tied with Hodes

A second poll in less than a week shows New Hampshire Republican Senate candidate Bill Binnie gaining significant traction in the race to replace the retiring Judd Gregg.

A new Rasmussen poll has Binnie with a one-point lead over Rep. Paul Hodes, the only Democrat in the race. Binnie would earn 42% to Hodes’ 41% in a hypothetical match-up; a virtual tie.

“Binnie is the only [candidate] with a noticeable shift in his numbers,” writes Rasmussen.

This weekend, NowHampshire.com reported on a new Magellan poll that shows Binnie has moved into a strong second-place in the GOP primary, gaining on frontrunner Kelly Ayotte.

Binnie’s rapid movement can most certainly be attributed to his aggressive advertising campaign. His ads are posted below:
