In a new web video, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee blasts Shea-Porter for changing her position on the war in Afghanistan, of which she once said, “we should be working even harder there to make sure our Afghanistan mission does not fail.”

Stop blaming Carol for this. It is just a matter of her perception being momentarily disaligned with Nancy Pelosi’s thought processes. I find it somewhat humorous that the Republicans consider Guinta as having “Mementum” (intentionally spelled that way as per original press release)when there are several candidates also vying for the job. For example: Guinta=the former mayor of a large city in NH, replete with a host of people he either ticked off or dissapointed. Fergus Cullen=high ranking state party official(just what we need, Ashooh (sucessful business man-you know, like Craig Benson) Bob Bestani= A visiting scholar at Sanford University, active in the Republican state party; until May of 2008, Bob served as the Director General of Private Sector Finance at the Asian Development Bank, a multilateral bank dedicated to alleviating poverty in Asia. Bob was a Managing Director and Senior Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Bob also served in the U.S. Department of the Treasury during the first Bush Administration (GHWB 1989-1992). His principal responsibilities included: the G-7 negotiations and the Paris and Houston Presidential Summit Meetings, several international trade and financial services negotiations, US-IMF policy coordination, the management of America’s $20 billion foreign currency reserve position, policy coordination with Federal Reserve, etc. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago (where he serves as member of the Global Advisory Board) and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Rutgers University.

I don’t know about you, but to me there is no contest. Bob Bestani is the candidate I feel Carol Shea-Porter should fear the most.
