The nation’s public debate has sunk to new depths as the President of the United States now refers to his political opponents as “teabag people”.
Obama’s rhetoric mirrors that of our own Democratic Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01), who also has referred to opponents as “tea-baggers” and has refused to apologize even after she learned the derogatory nature of the terms.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: “Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?
REP. CAROL SHEA-PORTER: “[Kelly Ayotte] was speaking to the tea-baggers. They walked around me and they’re videotaping me.”
Urban Dictionary has a graphic definition of the verb “to teabag.” Click here to read it [warning: extremely vulgar].
OK Billy, does your lemming like recitation of Obama’s unfortunate remarks make you feel good about yourself? In the meantime, win, lose or draw this “TEABAGGER” will do everyting possible to begin the movement of Hope and Restoration on which the Conservative Republicans are embarking.
Give it up, Patrick. Your gang is known as teabaggers universally, not just by the president and the Congresswoman.
