Gregg calls McChrystal revelation “startling”

Sen. Judd Gregg (R-NH) calls the recent revelation by General Stanley McChrystal that he has only spoken to President Barack Obama once “startling.” McChrystal is the U.S. Commander in Afghanistan.

Gregg’s comments came during a Monday appearance on Fox News Channel’s America’s newsroom.

“President Bush spoke to (Gen. David) Petraeus on a very regular basis,” Gregg said.

“I would think you’d want to hear from your field commander more than once in six months,” Gregg concluded, speaking of President Obama.
